Half of the Namibian population is under the age of fourteen.
We believe that preparing each child academically as well as spritually will enable these orphaned and vulnerable children to become strong leaders who will help turn their country around.
Hope's Promise Orphan Ministries Namibia (HPOM)
is a subsidiary of Hope's Promise, an adoption agency founded in 1990, and located in Colorado.
Our primary area of focus is placing AIDS affected and infected orphaned and vulnerable children with qualified, trained foster or adoptive families in their birth country. Our reponsibility begins with recruiting, screening, training and monitoring of the family and the children. Our goal is to equip the children and the families who are a part of HPOM to be self-sufficient, contributing members of society. Our projects include:
- Talitha-Kumi Christian Academy - Kindergarten through grade 5
- House of Grace - crisis pregnancy center
- Jochebed's Hope - placement for young, unwed pregnant girls
- Naomi's Hope - foster care program
- Hannah's Hope - adoption program
Through each of these non-profit outreaches, HPOM assists with the impact that HIV / AIDS has on a nation that is in the top six countries most affected by the HIV / AIDS virus.
